“Don’t dwell on what went wrong. Instead, focus on what to do next. Spend your energies on moving forward toward finding the answer.” ~~ Denis Waitley
As we enter the fourth quarter, I took a look back and a quick look forward. Many of our meetings this year have given me information/answers. In October, we have a class that will help you if the rains make its way into a building. ATI will present “What is hiding in your environment?” If you attend all 3 hours, you can receive 3 hours of continuing education for disclosure. The class is being held at the LaQuinta on Alvernon. I hope to see you all there.
We also have our annual Golf Tournament. It is on October 26 at Forty-Niners Golf Course. The event is always fun. The air cannon returns. It truly is a blast. This is our only fundraiser, so help us get as many golfers as we can. There are some sponsorships still available and every bit helps.
Coming up in November is our annual meeting. The budget and election of our Board will be the focus. In addition, we will review the year including an update on what our members learned at the conference. We anticipate sending out our proposed budget in the next few weeks.
Please help us make BOMA even better next year by running for the Board and/or joining a committee. Ideas for next year are always welcome. |

Panoscan of Los Angeles, CA, will be coming to Tucson on Monday, October 15th to hold a Brew and Learn event at the Barrio Brewing Co. The event starts at 6:00 with brews and finger foods until 7:00 when the Learn part begins.
Panoscan is the exclusive distributor for GeoSLAM in Arizona, and at this event, we will demonstrate the ZEB-REVO RT, a handheld LIDAR 3D scanner that can capture spaces, inside and out, with 2cm accuracy and at 10 times the speed of tri-pod stationary scanners.
With this kind of speed and accuracy, a large commercial building or an apartment complex can be scanned in as much time as it takes to walk the entire structure. Reaching into closets, capturing all details including lighting fixtures and switches, visible plumbing, etc. The ZEB-REVO RT generates point clouds used to create asbuilt 3D models and 2D floorplans of a structure.
This could be a very enjoyable way to learn about this emerging technology that promises to be invaluable to BOMA members.
You will find a link to an evite by visiting: https://panoscan.com/brew-and-learn
And you can learn more about the ZEB-REVO RT on the Panoscan website at: https://panoscan.com/home
Thank you for considering making your membership aware of our event.
Sincerely,
Casey Coss Panoscan Inc.

Thank you Andy Gregory, MAS Real Estate Services, for sharing this information:
BOMA Government Affairs recommends that Property Owners send their water bills to veronica.lopez@pima.gov She can provide an idea of estimated expense increases, which seem to average around 6 cents per square foot of building. BOMA members should contact the Pima County Board of Supervisors with questions or concerns. |
