We have partnered with the Erik Hite Foundation for a couple of years and are continuing to do what we can to support them.  We will be accepting donations/contributions at the registration desk at our meeting on Tuesday. Please bring a donation to help this great organization. Below is a list of items they could use:

 

- Outdoor toys for sand box playtime
- Indoor kitchen pretend cooking items and pretend food platics items
- Dress up costumes
- Instruments for little hands. No batteries operated instruments. 
- Playdough
- Bubbles
- Construction paper
- White glue- Elmer's brand
- Washable paint
- Markers

TOPIC:  How to handle the homeless situations at your properties. 

SPEAKERS:  
Officer Morken, Tucson Police Department
     1.City's homeless protocol vs. private property protocol
     2. What to say when you call 911 to get the best response as well as how to instruct tenants on contacting the police (the correct information to provide, etc),
     3. City laws and trespass signs/letters
     4. Networking with neighbors - the importance of private and government sector
         partnerships

     To pass along the knowledge and procedures about removing the homeless from
     public or private properties in regards to the Pima County Sheriff’s Department’s
     responsibilities as well as information on resources available to the homeless during
     the removal process.
